But in the Act 5 cutscene there is a pretty big army and no mecha suits. Now if you really want to ask a question, you should ask where that huge human army came from in the Act 5 cutscene when you saw in the actual game that there were only 5 humans accompanying the head priest, 4 normal templars and 1 guy in a mecha suit. In a world with real magic there would be no rituals, only magical manipulation. Because rituals are nonsense which only exist in the real world that has no magic as a way to trick people into thinking something is being done so that those people can be scammed out of their money/resources. In other Diablo games it is about pure power manipulation, NOT rituals. Let’s not talk about how 97% of Diablo 4’s plot is either finding a way to open a door or completing a magic ritual even though no other Diablo game centers on trying to open doors or magic rituals. Of course if they had to spend so much time and effort to prepare to summon Anduriel then how was Duriel summoned without them having to expend that much effort to summon him? Eh I wouldn’t put too much thought into it since clearly the devs didn’t as Duriel is just there for no reason and is killed without anyone knowing or caring because the devs felt they needed another boss for some reason. Now one could argue that Elias wanted you to kill Andariel so that Lilith could absorb her essence, but they never appeared to take any effort to collect it.

The whole point of summoning Andariel was for Lilith to absorb Andariel’s essence to increase her power so she could take on more powerful demons like Mephisto with a higher chance of success to steal their essence.Īnd then Elias summons Anduriel out of nowhere for no reason in an incredibly stupid location.
